Regulatory Specialist

Duties:
Prepare and file regulatory permits and reports for clients; and maintain client relationships and cross-market company services.
- Familiar with State of Louisiana Regulations and Forms specific to Department of Natural Resources,
Coastal Management Division and Office of Conservation to obtain permits and authorizations associated
with drilling and producing oil and gas wells.
- Familiar with or willing to learn the regulatory process for oil and gas operators within Texas and Oklahoma.
- Communicate with clients and to resolve conflicts with agencies.
- Complete applications and review and analyze reports for completeness and correctness.
- Audit, verify and confirm permit conditions and that all rules and regulations were followed.
- Assist in other land division projects.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree, graduate studies in Natural Sciences preferred and/or 3 to 5 years
work experience in regulatory compliance.
- Ability to work independently and to travel to meet clients and to work with other offices.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance through the life of a field (from exploration and
development to plug and abandonment permitting of wells, pipelines and platforms).
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to write routine and complex reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively
before groups of customers or employees. Ability to do business math; ability to apply common sense
understanding and deal with problems involving several variables.
- Proficiency in M.S. office software and have a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
