FLI-MAP System Operator

Duties:

Operate the FLI-MAP systems on board a helicopter collecting data; operate land based GPS data collection systems. Perform routine maintenance on the FLI-MAP systems including calibration and/or testing; and assist Systems Engineer in maintenance tasks. Mount, monitor and dismount the FLI-MAP systems. Assist in planning daily field operations. Document all daily flight information. Transfer data from the airborne system to the field data processor on a daily basis. Assist with helicopter/airport logistics for field projects; and coordinate as required with the helicopter pilot. Assist with data QA/QC. Submit quality reports. Position requires extensive travel including some foreign.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and 1 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be competent with MS office and have demonstrated ability to learn software quickly. Should have a working knowledge of computer operations. Ability to read and interpret project documents; write routine reports; speak effectively to groups or individuals; perform basic mathematical calculations; and solve practical problems and interpret instructions. Electronics training or background would be a plus.

Must have a valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record; and ability to procure a passport.
