Duties:
Post-processes field collected GPS and Lidar data in the field on assignment and in office; verifies quality and quantity of data to project requirements; creates daily reports; performs daily backup of field collected data and transmits same to central office; assists in planning daily field operations and logistics; assists in other tasks/activities of the crew. Position requires extensive travel including some foreign. While in the field, the work is largely performed at the end of the day’s data collection activities through the night.
Requirements:
Associate degree or technical school certificate in technical discipline; 1 – 3 years experience in processing GPS data sets including basic knowledge of geodesy, datums and coordinate systems; exceptional computer skills are required. Working knowledge of the following software would be a plus: Applanix post-processing software including POSGNSS (GrafNav) and POSProc.
Must have a valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record; and ability to procure a passport.
