Systems/Software Engineer

Duties:
As a member of the web development team, works with the applications related to the internal and external portals, and GIS (Geographic Information Systems). Performs support and development roles.
- Develop of portal-based custom applications, application integration, and reporting using AJAX, WCF, and WF
- Work with end users and development team members to define, design and complete development work
- Perform technical design of applications
- Provide estimates for work requests
- Complete development assignment according to agreed upon delivery schedule
- Review completed work with clients for acceptance
- Raise risks/issues to the systems integration manager and recommend solutions
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in IT or related degree and 3 years of IT experience including .NET development (VB.NET, C#, AST.NET, etc.), relational database storage and manipulation and MS SQL (statements, stored procedures) or equivalent experience
- Experience working in a corporate setting. Prefer some experience with AJAX, WCF, and WF
- Must have strong interpersonal communication and problem solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and a sense of urgency managing the job, active learning, communicating
- Ability to read and interpret documents; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before individuals and groups of customers or employees of organization
- Must have a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; and ability to procure a valid passport and US work authorization
