Survey Instrument Technician

Duties:
Operate survey equipment required for projects and assist Party Chief in daily operations of survey crew.
Operate automated hydrographic DGPS and GPS, Total Stations and data collectors; keep field notes; perform basic survey calculations; and engage in other special projects. Assume Party Chief responsibilities on a temporary basis.
Requirements:
Post high school vocational training in civil engineering technology or equivalent experience; 1 year survey instrument experience as a crew member; valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record; ability to travel overnight and pass offshore water survival training.
