Systems / Software Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:  As a member of the IDS (Information and Decision Solutions) development team, works with applications related to internal and external SharePoint Portals. Work in support and development roles.

• Develop portal-based custom applications using SharePoint and SharePoint Web Parts.
• Work with end users and development team members to define, design and complete SharePoint development work
• Perform technical design of applications
• Provide estimates for work requests

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in IT or related degree and 3 years of IT experience including .NET development (SILVERLIGHT, C#, ASP.NET, etc.), SharePoint development, relational database storage understanding and manipulation of MS SQL (statements, stored procedures) or equivalent experience

• Experience working in a corporate setting. Prefer some experience with SharePoint, SharePoint Web Services, WCF, and SILVERLIGHT.
• Must have strong interpersonal communication and problem solving skills
• Must have a basic understanding of design principles
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and a sense of urgency managing the Job, Active Learning, Communicating
• Ability to read and interpret documents; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before individuals and groups of customers or employees of organization
• Must have a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; and ability to procure a valid passport and US work authorization (U.S. citizen or green card holder preferred)

• Primary focus are skills in SharePoint development
