Argentina Airports

Through a contract with the international group responsible for management, maintenance, and development of all airports in Argentina, Fugro EarthData acquired aerial photography and prepared photogrammetric mapping of three airports in Buenos Aires and Córdoba. Aerial data acquisition required careful planning due to the highly controlled and restricted airspace of the project sites. Using softcopy photogrammetry, Fugro EarthData collected detailed planimetric features, digital terrain model (DTM) data, and contours over the airport facilities and surrounding areas at four scales ranging from 1:500 to 1:5,000. Final deliverables were used to help modernize air traffic control systems, facilitate precise approaches, place radar antennas, and design new construction of airport runways and infrastructure.
