In 2005, the Indiana Counter Terrorism and Security Council selected Fugro EarthData to complete an all-digital mapping program using Leica ADS40 sensors and Pixel Factory™ processing system to produce statewide high-resolution 1m pixel-resolution natural-color digital orthophotography quarter-quadrangles resampled to 1' and 6", statewide 1m-pixel-resolution natural color orthophotography individual-county mosaics resampled to 1' and 6", statewide 1'-pixel-resolution (seventy-nine counties) and 6"-pixel-resolution (thirteen counties) natural-color orthophotography. Optional products included statewide 1m-pixel-resolution color-infrared orthophotography and a statewide 1m- and 2m-post-spacing DSM. The level of detail chosen for the statewide products supports homeland security and emergency response initiatives within the state as well as serves as an information management tool for natural-resources management, economic development, transportation, and law enforcement.
