Fugro EarthData teamed with North West Group and Fugro Horizons to serve the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) in acquiring imagery for its National Agriculture Imagery Program (NAIP). Under the first contract, the team completed the first-of-its-kind all-digital statewide mapping program, obtaining 1-m ground sample data resolution statewide digital orthophoto imagery over the state of Nebraska. North West Group and Fugro Horizons acquired the aerial data, and Fugro EarthData used its US-exclusive Pixel Factory™ technology to process ground orthos for more than 40,000 sq mi of the state. Following the success of the program, the USDA contracted with the team to complete ten states.
